Sir,
I have, the honour to offer myself as a candidate for the
post of Land Officer and Official Receiver in Bankruptcy in Hong
Kong which I understand will shortly become vacant by the retirement
on pension of Mr. Bruce Shepherd.
Since baking up the duties of my present substantive post
of Assistant Land Officer in Hong Kong in October 1900 I have on
two occasions, for a period altogether of two years during the absence
of Mr. Bruce Shepherd been appointed in charge of the Land Office
and the duties of Official Receiver and am now acting in that
capacity.
